There is a significant problem with ad breaks on streaming services for their lowest-tier subscribers. Of course, you pay less, so you have to accept a less premium viewing experience, which means having several breaks during a movie or a show. But there is one big no-no that it seems none of the streaming services has taken into consideration: you never put an ad break at the very beginning of a show. No matter how much subscribers pay, they are still subscribers, and at least after pressing the Play button, you need to let them first see what they came for.

Unfortunately, streamers position ads as a dealbreaker — you don't want them, just pay more. I am not sure if advertisers should be happy about this strategy.
